Maintenance Tip: Using the Correct Lubricant

When installing new gears into the AIR brush motor housing, it is critical to use a Plastic-Compatible Grease (such as a high-quality Silicone or Synthetic grease labeled safe for polymers).

• Avoid Petroleum-Based Greases: Standard automotive or mineral-based greases can chemically react with plastic gears, causing them to swell or become brittle, leading to premature gear failure.
• Seal the Housing: A small amount of plastic-safe grease not only smooths the rotation but also creates a moisture barrier. If you notice the brushes "stuttering" or making a grinding noise, inspect the gear teeth immediately for signs of rounding or wear.
