  • Magnet Valve Spray 1/8" (24V DC)

This 1/8" Magnet Valve Spray is a compact, high-precision solenoid valve designed for the teat spraying and chemical delivery systems of the Lely Astronaut A2, A3, and A4 robots. While similar in function to the 1/4" version, the 1/8" connection size is specifically used in manifold blocks and tighter pipework configurations found in the robot's spray module.

    Key Features

    • Chemical-Grade Construction: The Stainless Steel housing paired with FKM (Viton) seals ensures the valve can handle aggressive teat disinfectants, iodine, and acidic cleaning agents without corroding or leaking.
    • Plug-and-Play Assembly: This unit comes complete with the 24V DC spool (coil) and the electrical connector, allowing for immediate installation.
    • Precision Spray Control: The 3mm internal orifice is optimized to maintain the specific pressure required for an even, conical spray pattern, ensuring total teat coverage.
    • Normally Closed Design: The valve remains tightly shut until the 24V signal is applied, preventing "weeping" or waste of expensive teat dip products.

    System Compatibility

This valve is the standard replacement for multiple Lely generations where 1/8" porting is required:

    • Lely Astronaut A2
    • Lely Astronaut A3 / A3 Next
    • Lely Astronaut A4

    Maintenance Insight

Because teat dip can sometimes crystallize or contain small particles, the 3mm orifice can occasionally become partially blocked.

    • Troubleshooting: If the spray pattern becomes irregular or "misty," check the inlet side of the valve for debris.

Leakage: If the sprayer drips while the robot is idle, the FKM seal may have a small piece of grit trapped under it, preventing a full closure
