Maintenance & Replacement Tip

The milk cup cord is a "wear item." If a cord snaps, the robot cannot retract the teat cup, leading to potential damage if the cow steps on the cup or if the arm moves while the cup is still on the floor.

• Check for Fraying: During weekly maintenance, run your fingers along the cord. If you feel "fuzziness" or see broken strands, replace the cord immediately.
• The "Burn" Technique: When cutting the cord to size or threading it, lightly singe the end with a lighter to prevent the braid from unraveling.
• Knot Security: Ensure the figure-eight or stopper knot inside the teat cup plug is tight and seated correctly to prevent the cup from flying off during high-speed retraction.
